Booking booster looks for gaps in each of your properties' booking calendar and tries to book the gap. There are two ways to run the Booking Booster feature, Bookend Nights and Orphan Nights.
Orphan Nights detects gaps between bookings and offers the guests a chance to check in early or check out late at a discount. For example if Guest 1 checks out on the morning of the 1st and Guest 2 checks in on the evening of the 2nd, then Orphan Nights will attempt to sell the night of the 1st by offering Guest 1 an extended stay and Guest 2 a day early check in.
Bookend Nights does everything that Orphan Nights does and additionally sends offers to check in days earlier or extend their stay to any guest that is staying at a property with a vacancy prior to or after their stay.
Customize the message templates to reach out to guests. Use placeholders for dynamic content such as guest name, booking details, and personalized offers. We offer the following variables for you messaging template:
{guest_first_name}
{checkin_or_extend_stay}
{discount_percentage}
{offer_details}
The default messaging template is as follows:
Hi {guest_first_name},
Just wanted to let you know we have some extra availability in case you wanted to {checkin_or_extend_stay} at a {discount_percentage} discount. Here are the details:
{offer_details}
Any thoughts?
Which would look something like this:
Hi Andrea,
Just wanted to let you know we have some extra availability in case you wanted to check in a night early at a 35% discount. Here are the details:
If you want to come earlier, we have an availability the night of Tuesday, October 10th. Standard rate $200/night. We’d offer it to you for $130/night.
Any thoughts?
You can change the maximum number of nights to offer a guest in the event there are gaps. For example, if you enter 2, Besty will offer to extend the guest's stay by 1 or 2 nights, both before and after their trip, only using available nights.
Choose which nights you would like Besty to offer Orphan Nights or Bookend Nights to guests.
Choose the rate at which Besty will offer the discounts. We recommend 35% in order to give enough incentive for the guest to stay.
Send the offer message X hours after the gap is detected.
This option allows you to set a delay in hours before sending an offer to a guest after a gap in bookings is identified. For example, setting this to "1 hour" means the system will wait one hour after detecting a booking gap before sending an offer to the guest.
Don't send the offer message until X days before the start of the booking.
This setting is used to prevent the offer message from being sent too far in advance of a booking's start date. Setting this to "0 days" means there is no restriction, and the message can be sent any time after the gap is detected up to the start of the booking.
Don't send the offer message if the booking starts less than X days out.
This option prevents sending offers if the booking is starting imminently, within a specified number of days. Setting this to "0 days" disables this restriction, allowing offers to be sent regardless of how soon the booking starts.
Besty takes channel markups from the prices on your calendar, so if you have a third party pricing app such as Price Labs configured, it will stack discounts. Make sure to only have Besty or your third party app configured.
Channel markups give you an opportunity to set individual price markups based on differant platforms. For example if your calendar night is listed at $100/night, and you want the Booking.com price to be $120/night, enter 20% next to Booking.com.
